On August 31, 2014 Investigators from the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center (CAC) and Detectives from the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department began an investigation into an alleged sexual assault of a 6 year old female in the City of Poughkeepsie.

 

On September 3, 2014 FELIX AMARO, a 37 year old City resident, was arrested and charged with Course of Sexual Conduct against a Child in the 1st Degree a class B-Felony and Endangering the Welfare of a Child an class A-Misdemeanor. He was arraigned in City of Poughkeepsie Court on Thursday September 4, 2014 and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $25,000 cash/$50,000 cash bond.
