On 09/03/14 at about 8:50 PM, City of Poughkeepsie Police Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Montgomery St. and Garfield Place.  The vehicle was being operated by City resident Lamar J. Cherry and he was the sole occupant of the vehicle. During the stop a loaded 9mm FEG P9R Pistol was recovered, it was located on the floor of the vehicle at the operators’ feet. 

Cherry has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, and ticketed for the Vehicle &Traffic violation.
