On 10-14-14 @ 0427 the York City Police Dept. was dispatched to the area of 283 W. Market St. for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located the victim (Ronald Rhoades) who had suffered a single gun shot wound to the head. Rhoades was transported to York Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

   An investigation was initiated and it was determined that the victim's injury was self inflicted and the death was ruled a suicide by the York County Coroner's Office.
