Weekly Crime Report for 10-27-14 thru 10-31-14

LARCENY – BET. 10-22-14 & 10-24-14

A resident on the 41000 block of North Central Drive, located in the area of Schoenherr and 19 Mile, reported that UPS delivered an IPhone 6 on 10-22-14 which was left on her porch.  When the victim arrived at her residence, the package was gone.

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – 10-25-14 BET. 0130 HRS. & 0900 HRS.

A resident on the 33000 block of Wendy Drive, located in the area of 14 Mile and Ryan, reported that his friend left his vehicle parked in front of his home while he went hunting and when he returned found the driver’s door window had been smashed.

 

LARCENY – 10-25-14 BET. 0930 HRS. & 1020 HRS.

A patron at LA Fitness, located on Mound Road, reported that she placed her North Face jacket in the women’s locker room, unlocked, and when she returned the jacket was gone. 

 

FRAUD – 10-21-14

A resident on the 4000 block of Benjamin, located in the area of Ryan and 17 Mile, reported that he checked his debit card activity online and found nine charged to the account that he did not make which totaled almost $500.  The charges were made in Roseville and Detroit.

 

LARCENY – 10-27-14

A resident on the 37000 block of Bingham Drive, located in an apartment complex near Metropolitan Parkway and Schoenherr, reported that his rims and tires had been stolen and the vehicle was resting on two landscaping blocks.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – BET. 10-26-14 1900 HRS. & 10-27-14 0700 HRS.

A resident on the 37000 block of Robinhood Drive, located in the area of Schoenherr and Utica Road, reported that someone stole the rims/tires off his car.  The vehicle was set on cinder blocks causing damage to the vehicle under the front driver and passenger doors.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – BET. 10-26-14 2100 HRS. & 10-27-14 0800 HRS.

A resident on the 42000 block of Plum Lane, located in the area of 19 Mile and Ryan, reported that all four wheels and tires had been stolen from his new vehicle.  The car was resting on its frame up on landscape bricks from the yard.

 

FRAUD – BET. 10-13-14 & 10-25-14

A resident on the 2000 block of Kipling Drive, located in the 17 Mile and Dequindre area, reported that she received a letter from T-Mobil stating her request for four new phones was denied.  Approximately two weeks later the victim received four letters regarding an insurance offer on the new phones.  The victim stated she has never applied or had service with T-Mobil.

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – BET. 10-27-14 2230 HRS. & 10-28-14 0025 HRS.

A patron of Planet Fitness, located on Ryan Road, reported that he locked his vehicle in the parking lot and went into the gym.  When he returned he discovered that someone had smashed out the rear window of his vehicle.  No personal property was taken.   

 

FRAUD – BET. 6-24-14 & 10-6-14

A resident on the 40000 block of Kraft Drive, located in the area of 18 Mile and Ryan, reported that someone used her identity to open a fraudulent DTE account in Detroit.  The victim was contacted by DTE last month and told she owed over $300.

 

FRAUD – BET. 10-18-14 0000 HRS. & 10-28-14 1241 HRS.

A resident on the 34000 block of Robinson Court, located in the area of 15 Mile and Ryan, reported that someone opened a Verizon account using his name and address without his knowledge or permission.  The victim received a notice from Verizon Wireless confirming the activation of a phone number and account number.

 

FRAUD – 10-28-14 1800 HRS.

A resident on the 8000 block of 15 Mile Road, located east of Van Dyke, reported that he received a letter in the mail from JC Penny Credit advising him they denied his request for a credit card.  He states he never attempted to open a credit card with them.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – BET. 10-28-14 2300 HRS. & 10-29-14 0623 HRS.

A resident on the 37000 block of St. Joseph Drive, located in the area of Metropolitan Parkway and Ryan, reported that his rims and tires had been stolen from his vehicle and the car was left on landscaping blocks.  The vehicle was parked in his driveway.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – BET. 10-28-14 2200 HRS. & 10-29-14 0630 HRS.

A resident on the 37000 block of Barrington Drive, located in the Metropolitan Parkway and Dodge Park area, reported that he parked his vehicle in the driveway and in the morning found that his four wheels were stolen.  The car was left on two landscaping blocks.

 

STOLEN AUTO – 10-29-14 BET. 0400 HRS & 0715 HRS.

A resident on the 36000 block of Melbourne Drive, located in the area of Schoenherr and Metropolitan Parkway, reported that someone stole his pickup truck which was parked in his driveway.

 

FRAUD – 10-28-14

A resident on the 11000 block of Kenwood Drive, located in the 15 Mile and Van Dyke area, reported that her debit card was used without her permission at two store locations, one in Texas and one in New York.  The victim was still in possession of her debit card.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – BET. 10-27-14 1400 HRS. & 10-28-14 1600 HRS.

A resident on the 41000 block of Central, located in the area of Schoenherr and 19 Mile, reported that his catalytic converter was stolen from his car while it was parked in the parking lot of his apartment complex.

 

FRAUD – 10-20-14 0800 HRS.

A resident on the 3000 block of Groves Drive, located in the area of Metropolitan Parkway and Ryan, reported that she received a bill from Verizon Wireless congratulating her on opening a new phone line on 10-20-14.  The victim contacted Verizon and was informed the account was opened online with a South Carolina IP address.  She was also informed that the account was never finalized and was cancelled by Verizon Security.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – BET. 10-29-14 2100 HRS. & 10-30-14 1100 HRS.

A resident on the 35000 block of Terrybrook Drive, located in the area of 15 Mile and Van Dyke, reported that someone stole the license plate from her vehicle which was parked near her condominium unit.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 10-30-14 0100 HRS. & 1030 HRS.

A resident on the 41000 block of Wildwood Drive, located in the Hayes and 19 Mile Road area, reported that someone stole the catalytic converter on her vehicle.

 

STOLEN AUTO – 10-30-14 BET. 1400 HRS. & 2244 HRS.

An employee of Ford Motor Company on Mound Road reported that his vehicle was stolen from the parking lot.  The victim had locked his Ford pickup, which had approximately $1,000 worth of tools inside, near the guard shack building.
