Weekly Crime Report for 11-3-14 thru 11-7-14

FRAUD – 10/16/14

A resident on the 36000 block of Lodge Drive, located in the area of Metropolitan Parkway and Schoenherr, reported that she was advised by Synchrony Bank of suspicious activity on her Master Card.  The victim was advised that her card was used at Meijer in Royal Oak.  The victim was still in possession of her card and did not give anyone permission to use it.

 

FRAUD – 10-30-14

A resident on the 4000 block of Nathan West, located in the area of 17 Mile and Ryan, reported that she received a letter from a collection agency stating she owes almost $3,000 to Verizon Wireless for an outstanding balance.  The victim states she did not open a Verizon account or give anyone permission to open an account.

 

LARCENY – 11-1-14 BET. 1500 HRS. & 1630 HRS.

A customer shopping at Walmart on Van Dyke reported she had her wallet on top of her child’s stroller while she was shopping and then realized the wallet was missing.  She checked areas of the store where she shopped, but was unable to find the wallet.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 11-1-14 BET. 1750 HRS. & 1845 HRS.

The victim parked her car, unlocked, in the lot at Lakeside Mall near the food court entrance.  When she returned to her vehicle she noticed her stereo and CDs were stolen.   There was no damage to the doors or locks.

 

JUVENILE MISCHIEF – 11-2-14 BET. 0100 HRS. & 1030 HRS.

A resident on the 2000 block of Cherry Creek, located in the Ryan and M-59 area, reported that his residence was egged above the garage.  The victim stated this is the second time this month this has happened.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – BET. 11-1-14 2130 HRS. & 11-2-14 1030 HRS.

A resident on the 35000 block of Ellsworth Drive, located in the area of 15 Mile and Dodge Park, reported that he parked his car in front of his house and in the morning noticed that he had many things missing from the car.  There was no sign of forced entry and believes the driver’s door handle, which is broken, must not have locked when he hit auto lock.  The victim reported that quarters, credit cards and an MP3 player were missing from the center console and a camera and computer were missing from the trunk.

 

STOLEN VEHICLE – BET. 11-1-14 1700 HRS. & 11-2-14 0900 HRS.

A resident on the 12000 block of Takoma Drive, located in the Clinton River Road and Schoenherr area, reported that his vehicle was stolen from his driveway. The victim was in possession of both sets of keys.  There were no signs of forced entry.

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – 11-2-14 BET. 0100 HRS. & 0200 HRS.

A resident on the 33000 block of Curcio Drive, located in the 14 Mile and Ryan area, reported that she heard a noise outside and later observed the rear window of her vehicle was shattered.  The victim also observed a small hole in a bedroom window of her residence which may be from a BB or small rock.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – BET. 11-1-14 1700 HRS. & 11-2-14 1500 HRS.

A resident on the 8000 block of Charles Court, located in the area of Metropolitan Parkway and Van Dyke, reported that his Dodge Neon was broken into and a cell phone and transmitter were stolen.  The victim stated his car was parked at the end of his driveway and forgot to lock the door.

 

LARCENY – BET. 11-1-14 1200 HRS. & 11-3-14 0800 HRS.

The manager of a business on the 5000 block of Bridgewood Drive, located in the area of Mound and 18 Mile Road, reported that someone stole several pieces of round bar stock steel from the rear parking lot.  The lock was cut off the gate.

 

LARCENY – BET. 11-2-14 0100 HRS. & 11-3-14 0600 HRS.

The owner of a business on the 40000 block of Enterprise Drive, located in the area of 18 Mile and Van Dyke, reported that someone stole sixty plastic containers from the outside of the business. 

 

FRAUD – 10-7-14

A resident on the block of 39000 Kingsbury Drive, located in the area of 17 Mile and Van Dyke, reported that she received a phone call from a credit reporting agency stating she owed over $500 to Verizon.  The victim states she does not have a Verizon phone and contacted the fraud division at Verizon.

 

FRAUD – BET. 10-31-14 2255 HRS. & 11-3-14 1500 HRS.

A resident on the 4000 block of Boulder Road, located in the area of 17 Mile and Ryan, reported that someone contacted him regarding his Bank of America credit card.  The person advised him that he was from the government and wanted to assist him with paying off the balance.  The victim gave his credit card information to the suspect over the phone and soon after a charge of almost $700 appeared on his credit card.

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – BET. 11-3-14 1800 HRS. & 11-4-14 0700 HRS.

A resident on the 42000 block of Gainsley Drive, located in the area of Clinton River Road and 18 Mile, reported that someone broke the driver’s side mirror off his vehicle while it was parked in the street in front of his residence.

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – BET. 11-3-14 1400 HRS. & 11-4-14 0700 HRS.

A resident on the 38000 block of Pinebrook Drive, located in the 17 Mile and Dequindre area, reported that he parked and locked his vehicle on the street in front of his residence and when he returned to his car in the morning, observed the driver’s side window smashed.  Nothing was stolen from inside the vehicle.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – BET. 11-3-14 2040 HRS. & 11-4-14 0630 HRS.

A resident on the 3000 block of Barg Drive, located in the Ryan and 18 Mile area, reported that someone stole all four tires and rims from his vehicle which was parked in his driveway.  The vehicle was then placed on two landscaping bricks.

 

LARCENY – 11-5-14 0317 HRS.

A resident on the 13000 block of Stonegate Drive, located in the 14 Mile and Schoenherr area, reported that someone broke the rear window of her vehicle, entered the vehicle, and took the wheel lock/key out of the center console.  The suspect then removed all four wheels.  There was a large brick centered under each side of the vehicle. 

 

LARCENY – BET. 11-4-14 2000 HRS. & 11-5-14 0800 HRS.

A resident on the 13000 block of Stonegate Drive, located in an apartment complex in the area of 14 Mile and Schoenherr, reported that someone smashed out the driver’s side window of her vehicle, took the wheel lock key from the glove box, and stole the rims and tires from her vehicle.  The vehicle was partially left on garden wall blocks.

 

FRAUD – 11-4-14 0700 HRS.

A resident on the 33000 block of Richard O Drive, located in the area of Ryan and 14 Mile area, reported that he discovered an unauthorized transaction on his credit card which was made in Indiana for over $300. The victim inquired about the transaction and was advised that a duplicate card was requested and sent to someone in Indiana.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 11-6-14 BET. 2100 HRS. & 2200 HRS.

A customer of Sterling Lanes, located in the area of 14 Mile and Schoenherr, reported that after bowling she went to the parking lot and found that the rear passenger window to her vehicle had been smashed and all four tires and been stolen.  It appears that nothing inside the vehicle was stolen.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 11-6-14 BET. 1350 HRS. & 2238 HRS.

The victim parked her car in the lot of Henry Ford Clinic located on the 3000 block of 15 Mile, located west of Ryan.  When she returned to her vehicle she discovered the passenger door window was broken out and the stereo system was missing from the dashboard.
