Weekly Crime Report for 11-10-14 thru 11-14-14

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 11-7-14 BET. 1200 HRS. & 1600 HRS.

An employee of a business located on the 34200 block of Mound, located north of 14 Mile Road, reported that he parked his vehicle in the business parking lot and was advised by someone that the passenger side rear window was broken out.  The victim discovered his navigational system had been stolen.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 11-7-14 BET. 1730 HRS. & 2100 HRS.

An employee of Texas Roadhouse, located on Mound Road, reported she parked her car in the lot and upon returning discovered the catalytic converter was taken.

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – BET. 11-7-14 2130 HRS. & 11-8-14 0845 HRS.

A resident on the 8000 block of Constitution, located in an apartment complex in the area of 18 Mile and Van Dyke, reported that he parked and locked his vehicle in the lot and in the morning discovered numerous scratches on all four doors and the front and rear fenders.

 

BREAKING & ENTERING – BET. 11-7-14 1915 HRS. & 11-8-14 0850 HRS.

The owner of a business located on the 37000 block of Van Dyke, located south of 17 Mile, reported that she locked and secured her business for the evening and upon returning in the morning, noticed the cash register and a computer were missing.  It appears entry was gained through the rear door by damaging the knob.

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – 11-8-14 BET. 0230 HRS. & 0600 HRS.

A resident on the 36000 block of Park Place Drive, located in the area of Metropolitan Parkway and Dequindre, reported that someone damaged his and his sister’s vehicle by hitting it with what appeared to be BBs from a BB gun causing paint and glass damage.  Both vehicles were parked in front of the residence.

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – BET. 11-7-14 1815 HRS. & 11-8-14 1225 HRS.

A resident on the 40000 block of Lafayette Drive, located in the area of 18 Mile and Van Dyke, reported that the driver’s side door mirror was knocked off the vehicle.  It appears a pumpkin was thrown at the victim’s vehicle which caused the damage.

 

FRAUD – BET. 11-6-14 1510 HRS. & 11-8-14 0000 HRS.

A resident on the 43000 block of Hillcrest Drive, located in the area of 19 Mile and Hayes, reported that he received an email from Hollister Inc. congratulating him for the purchase of two electronic gift cards.  The victim reported he did not purchase the gift cards and was advised by Hollister Inc. that they were purchased with his American Express Card.

 

STOLEN AUTO – BET. 11-8-14 1638 HRS. & 11-9-14 0900 HRS.

A resident on the 42000 block of Crescendo Drive, located in the area of Utica Road and 18-1/2 Mile, reported that her vehicle was stolen which was parked in front of her residence. 

 

LARCENY – BET. 11-9-14 1300 HRS. & 1900 HRS.

A patron of Sunnybrook Lanes, located on the 7000 block of 17 Mile, reported that he parked his bike near the front door and thought he locked it to a handrail. When he returned, his bike was missing.

 

STOLEN AUTO – 11-10-14 BET. 0300 HRS. & 1330 HRS.

A resident on the 13000 block of Riverwood Drive, located in the area of Schoenherr and Moravian, reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and attempted to steal it by punching the ignition which was found on the floorboard.  The vehicle was parked in the driveway and nothing was missing from the vehicle.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 11-10-14 BET. 0800 HRS. & 1630 HRS.

An employee of Toys-R-Us, located on Lakeside Circle, reported that she parked her car in the lot and when she finished work returned to her vehicle and discovered the catalytic converter was stolen.

 

FRAUD – BET. 10-30-14 & 11-5-14

A resident on the 14000 block of River View Court, located in the area of Clinton River Road and Hayes, reported that someone opened a PayPal account in her name which was linked to her checking account and there were several unauthorized internet transactions.  Just after the victim cancelled the account, there was an attempt to withdraw $2,500 via the PayPal account.

 

ATTEMPT BREAKING & ENTERING – BET. 11-10-14 2100 HRS. & 11-11-14 0800 HRS.

Two business owners located next to each other on the 37000 block of Dequindre, reported that someone attempted to gain entry to their building by trying to break the door handle.  One owner stated the door handle was bent but did not come off so entry was not gained to his business.  The other owner stated the door handle to his store was broken off and laying on the ground but entry was not gained due to a deadbolt on the door.

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – BET. 11-10-14 2030 HRS. & 11-11-14 0745 HRS.

A resident on the 41000 block of Ludington, located in an apartment complex near 18 Mile and M53, reported that she parked her car in the lot near her residence and when she returned to her vehicle, found profanity etched into her passenger side door.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 11-12-14 BET. 0600 HRS. & 0630 HRS.

A resident on the 37000 block of Tricia Drive, located in the area of Metropolitan Parkway and Dequindre, reported that while his vehicle was parked in his driveway, all four tires were stolen and the car was left on cement blocks.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – BET. 11-11-14 1930 HRS. & 11-12-14 0745 HRS.

A resident on the 42000 block of Woodcrest Drive, located in the 19 Mile and Schoenherr area, reported that he parked his vehicle in his driveway and in the morning observed the front passenger window broken.  The victim stated his IPad was stolen.

 

LARCENY – BET. 10-31-14 & 11-11-14

A resident on the 12000 block of Canterbury Drive, located in the Metropolitan Parkway and Schoenherr area, reported a package was stolen from her front porch. The victim stated she ordered a Samsung tablet from Sprint, it never arrived, so she contacted the company who advised the tablet was delivered and left on her porch. 

 

FRAUD – 11-11-14

A resident on the 44000 block of Pine Drive, located in the Hall and Hayes area, reported that she received a bill for approximately $250 in the mail from Verizon and does not have an account with them.  Verizon advised her that someone used her identity to open an account with two phone lines.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 11-12-14 BET. 1420 HRS. & 1520 HRS.

A patron of Meijer, located on Van Dyke, parked his vehicle in the lot and when he returned discovered someone attempted to gain entry to his vehicle by manipulating the door lock on the driver’s door.  Entry was not gained.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – BET. 11-11-14 1500 HRS. & 11-12-14 1600 HRS.

A resident on the 3000 block of Albany Drive, located in the 17 Mile and Ryan area, reported that while his vehicle was parked in his driveway someone broke out the driver’s side window of his vehicle and stole a transmitter radio, dash mounted remote, and microphone.  

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – BET. 11-12-14 2000 HRS. & 11-13-14 0700 HRS.

A resident on the 14000 block of Shadywood Drive, located in the Metropolitan Parkway and Schoenherr area, reported that someone stole all four wheels and tires from her vehicle which was parked in her driveway.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 11-13-14 BET. 0130 HRS. & 0700 HRS.

A resident on the 43000 block of Bluejack Drive, located in the 19 Mile and Dequindre area, reported that his tires and rims were stolen from his vehicle which was parked in his driveway and then left on landscape bricks.

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – BET. 11-12-14 2130 HRS. & 11-13-14 0830 HRS.

A resident on the 11000 block of Shilling Drive, located in the area of 19 Mile and Clinton River Road, reported that she put her Christmas inflatable decorations on her front lawn and in the morning found that they had been deflated due to being sliced.

 

FRAUD – 11-13-14 0130 HRS.

A resident on the 5000 block of Lewis Drive, located in the area of Metropolitan Parkway and Mound area, reported that a hold was placed on her bank card due to suspicious activity.  The victim was advised that her card, which she is in possession of, was used in Flint, Michigan for over $130 at a gas station.
