Weekly Crime Report for 11-17-14 thru 11-21-14

 

 

LARCENY – 11-13-14 1900 HRS. – 11-14-14 0700 HRS.

A resident on the 35000 block of Cavant Drive, located in the area of 15 Mile and Ryan, reported that someone stole two whip antennas off of his vehicle while it was parked in the driveway.

 

FRAUD – 11-13-14

A resident on the 44000 block of Pine Drive, located in the area of Hall Road and Hayes, was contacted by his credit union regarding four suspicious charges totaling $417.00.  The charges originated in the Flint area, and the victim stated that he did not make the purchases.

 

VEHICLE THEFT – 11-14-14 1700 HRS. – 11-15-14 1700 HRS.

A resident on the 12000 block of Canal Road, near Schoenherr, reported that someone stole his vehicle that was parked in the garage.  There were no signs of forced entry.

 

FRAUD – BET. 11-13-14 & 11-17-14

A business owner on the 14000 block of 15 Mile, located west of Moravian, reported that someone used his identity to apply for credit company loans.

 

LOST/STOLEN PURSE – 11-17-14 BET. 1500 & 1630 HRS.

A resident shopping at Kroger located on the 43000 block of Schoenherr, reported that after she was done shopping she pushed her cart to her vehicle, unloaded her groceries then left, but forgot her purse in the cart.  She returned to Kroger, but was unsuccessful in locating her purse.

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – 11-17-14 @ 2124 hours

A resident on the 38000 block of Jamestown Drive, located in the area of Schoenherr and Utica Road, reported that she heard loud bangs outside and discovered her neighbor’s car, which was parked in the carport, had its rear window, windshield, and tail lights broken out.

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – 11-18-14 BET. 0900 & 1300 HRS.

A resident on the 8000 block of 18 Mile Road, located east of Van Dyke, reported that someone  broke one of the windows to his sun room at the rear of his apartment. 

 

STOLEN VEHICLE – BET. 11-18-14 2030 HRS. & 11-19-14 0740 HRS.

A resident on the 8000 block of Hampshire Drive, located in the area of M53 and Utica Road, reported that someone stole his vehicle which was parked and locked in the lot across from his condominium.

 

FRAUD – 11-5-14

A resident on the 34000 block of Tyler Drive, located in the area of 15 Mile and Mound, reported that she attempted to purchase a used vehicle off Craigslist.   The victim contacted the seller by email who stated they opened an Ebay listing to sell the vehicle and gave instructions on making payment.  The victim sent $1,500 to an Ebay Motors account and was the advised the car would be shipped in 2-3 days.  The car never arrived, she called Ebay customer service and they stated there was no such account.

 

BREAKING & ENTERING – 11-19-14 BET. 1130 & 1630 HRS.

A resident on the 35000 block of Kensington Avenue, located in the area of 15 Mile and Van Dyke, reported that when he arrived home he noticed the entry door to the garage was ajar.  Upon entering the house, the victim discovered the contents of his wife’s purse emptied onto a bed and his Ipad was missing.  There were no signs of forced entry. 

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – BET. 11-19-14 2330 HRS. & 11-20-14 0930 HRS.

A resident on the 43000 block of Vintage Oaks Drive, located in the area of 19 Mile and Mound, reported that someone damaged his mailbox with some sort of blunt object.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 11-18-14 BET. 1000 HRS. & 1300 HRS.

A patron, shopping at Bed Bath and Beyond on Hall Road, reported that her catalytic converter was stolen from her car while parked in the lot.

 

LARCENY – BET. 11-19-14 1100 HRS. & 11-20-14 1227 HRS.

A resident on the 43000 block of Vintage Oaks Drive, located in the area of 19 Mile and Mound, reported that someone entered his open garage and stole his snow blower.
