There have numerous reports of vehicle break-ins in the past few weeks, primarily in the area south of Hooker Avenue and the area around the city/town line on Main Street.

Residents are once again advised not to leave anything of value visible in their vehicles. If you must leave a valuable item in your car, secure it in the trunk.

Residents are also encouraged to call City of Poughkeepsie Police at (845) 451-4000 should they observe any suspicious persons, vehicles, or activities in their neighborhood.
