Missing Child Found Unharmed
A 7-year-old York City boy reported missing Friday night was found unharmed Saturday morning.
Zi’Aire Sweatman-Clark was reported missing at approximately 10:46 p.m. Friday. He was found at approximately 10 a.m. Saturday morning on the 300 block of Brooklyn Avenue. Residents of the area spotted Zi’Aire on the street and alerted police.
The boy’s recovery culminates an extensive overnight search effort lead by York City Police. The department was assisted by the National Center For Missing & Exploited Children and the York County Missing Child Task Force, a multi-disciplinary team involving federal, state and local law enforcement.
In addition to following-up on leads, the effort involved extensive door-to-door canvassing and area searches. A Pennsylvania State Police helicopter assisted from the air.
“We thank all the agencies that came together in support of this effort,” said York City Police Chief Wes Kahley. “This is the outcome we always hope for whenever a child goes missing.”
