On Wednesday, May 27, at approximately 11:41 a.m., City of Poughkeepsie Police officers and detectives responded to the Walkway Over the Hudson parking lot on Parker Avenue for a report of a while male going through a vehicle parked there. A male matching the suspect description was located and detained for an investigation. The male was found to have an active warrant from Dutchess County Probabtion; he was also in possession of stolen property.

Joseph Milone, 26, of Hyde Park, was charged with fourth degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, a felony, and fifth degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, a misdemeanor. He was also held on his probation warrant.

The investigation of recent vehicle break-ins in the city is continuing. Anyone with information concerning Milone or other vehicle break-ins is urged to call the confidential Tip Line at (845) 451-7577.
