On Saturday, July 18, 2015 at around 3:18 a.m., City of Poughkeepsie Police Dispatch received several calls in regards to a fight outside Club Ciboney at 189 Church Street. While officers were responding to this location, another caller reported a shot fired inside the club. Upon arrival, officers observed numerous physical altercations occurring in the parking lot outside of the club. During the course of their investigation, officers were advised by Club Ciboney security staff that a shot was fired inside the club. Officers encountered many uncooperative witnesses at the scene. Further, a victim was not located. There was an apparent birthday party celebration at Club Ciboney prior to the altercations and subsequent shot being fired.

A short time later, officers responded to a local hospital for a reported gunshot victim. The 24-year-old victim was inside Club Ciboney at the time of the shot fired and suffered a gunshot wound to her leg. The victim was apparently struck by a ricochet bullet while on the dance floor.

The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Detective Bureau is actively investigating this incident. At this time, no arrests have been made.
