On Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at approximately 2:59 p.m., City of Poughkeepsie Police Dispatch received several calls in regards to a possible shooting victim on State Street. Responding officers located William Trotman, 37, shot inside a vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital where he was examined by hospital staff and declared deceased a short time later.

The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Detective Bureau is actively investigating this incident. At this time, no arrests have been made.
