On Sunday, Aug. 16, at approximately 12:39 a.m., officers located a subject matching the description from an earlier incident in which a young male subject had thrown rocks at a residence on South Hamilton Street, breaking several windows. The subject was positively identified and was taken into custody. During a search incidental to his arrest, he was found to be in possession of several items from an earlier vehicle break-in. He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and was remanded to Dutchess County Jail. He is a 16-year-old homeless male who may be eligible for youthful offender status.
