Press Release 1/14/16

On 1/12/16 the York City Police Narcotics Unit arrested RAMON LUIS TORRES (64 yr. old) of 401 W. Market St., Apt. #3.  This arrest concluded a 2 month investigation into a large quantity heroin dealer in York County.  Officers spent numerous hours in surveillance and interviewing confidential sources to determine Torres means of operation. Officers determined that on a weekly basis Torres would travel to Philadelphia, PA and return with over $20,000 of heroin.  Within a week he would sell all his heroin and return to Philadelphia for more product.  On 1/12/16 Officers believed that Torres was making a weekly trip.  Upon his return He was taken into custody in the 400 Blk. of W. Market St.  Seized was over $25,000 in heroin.  Torres was charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver and Delivery of Heroin. 

 

 

Assisting in the operation was the Nuisance Abatement Unit and Detective Bureau.
