On 4/27/16 the York City Police, D.E.A Harrisburg, D.E.A. Allentown and Berks County Detectives concluded an investigation into a large scale cocaine vending operation.  Arrested in York was Ruben Morales (23 yr. old) of Mulberry St., Reading and Jose Avila (27 yr. old) of Buttonwood St. Reading.  Seized during the investigation was several pounds of cocaine (street value over $400,000), $70,000 in US Currency, .357 Ruger pistol, .38 Colt pistol, .357 Coonan pistol, .40 Smith and Wesson pistol, (2) Romarm 7.62 AK-47 and a .223 Windham AR-15. 

The investigation is ongoing with more arrests anticipated.

Assisting in the operation was Reading P.D., West York P.D. and Hellam P.D.
