As a result of the current body camera pilot project and at the request of our pilot officers the York City Police Department has decided to activate the audio equipment associated with the body worn cameras.  This alert is to notify citizens that officers wearing body cameras will now be capturing audio, as well as; video data where allowed by current law.  This activation will go into place on Monday May 9, 2016.
