HEART WALK 5-K

American Heart Walk

The annual American Heart Walk will be taking place this coming Saturday August 27^th, 2011. A few thousand people will be taking part in this walk to benefit the American Heart Association. The walk will start in the Arena District and go north into the Victorian Village and Short North Area, coming back into the Arena District and ending at the Huntington Park Stadium.   

Prior to the start of the walk several groups will be having their photograph taken inside the Hunting Park Stadium.

Date-   Saturday August 27, 2011:

Times- 8:00 am formation - area of Nationwide and Neil on the parking lot north east corner

9:00 am start of Heart Walk

Routes

5-K

North on Neil to Third

East on Third to Starr continuing to High

South on High to Nationwide Blvd.

West on Nationwide Blvd to Hanover/Huntington Park

North on Hanover/Huntington Park to rear entrance to Huntington Ball Stadium

Into the Huntington Stadium and around the bases to home plate.

1 Mile walk

North on Neil to Vine

East on Vine to Park/Front

South on Park/Front to Nationwide Blvd

West on Nationwide Blvd to Hanover/Huntington Park

North on Hanover/Huntington Park to rear entrance to Huntington Ball Stadium

Into the Huntington Stadium and around the bases to home plate.

Note: Traffic will be affected as noted below in addition to the above.  

High Street south bound at Fifth Ave. will be diverted 

Neil Ave. north bound from Spring will be diverted

Special Duty Columbus Police Officers will be directing traffic on the walk route.

Motorist might expect some delays if they are on the walk route going in the same direction as the walkers.
