MARCH 17TH, 2012


On Saturday  March 17th, 2012 the annual St. Patrick’s Parade will take place in downtown Columbus. The parade will be divided into 2 different phases. They are listed below:


Phase I- Processional from Grant and Rich to the Holy Cross Church

Forms at 8:45 am  on Rich west of Grant.

Starts at 9:15 am



Start on Rich at Grant

West on Rich to Fifth

North on Fifth to the Church.


Phase II- Parade from Nationwide and High to Veterans Memorial

Forms at 10:30 am on Nationwide west of High to Neil

Starts at 11:45 am



South on High to Broad

West on Broad to Veterans Memorial

Disband at corner of Broad and Belle.


The St. Patrick’s Day parade is a very large parade with three divisions and approximately 130 different units. The parade has floats, vehicles, several marching bands and many marching units. 


The parade is expected to be over at approximately 1:10 pm at Veterans Memorial.


Motorist should expect some traffic congestion in the downtown area of the parade. Special Duty Columbus Police Officers will be working traffic control for the parade.
