Daily Crime Report for 6-29-12


 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 6-29-12 @ 0330 HRS.

 

A resident in the 43000 block of Hillcrest Drive, located in the 19 Mile and Hayes area, reported that upon returning home from the movies, he observed a white male leaning into the open passenger door of his father’s vehicle.  Upon pulling into the driveway, the subject ran.  The vehicle was parked unlocked and there was no damage to the vehicle.  Upon checking the vehicle, nothing appeared to have been stolen.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 6-28-12 BET. 0315 & 0800 HRS.

 

A resident in the 13000 block of Northside Drive, located in the Schoenherr and 14 Mile Road area, reported that someone stole the stereo from the dashboard, causing extensive damage.  The speakers and amp were also stolen from the trunk area.  There were no signs of forced entry.

 

LARCENY FROM AUTO – 6-28-12 BET. 0125 & 1135 HRS.

 

A resident in the 43000 block of Fountain Drive, located in the 19 Mile and Hayes area, reported that someone stole the stereo from his vehicle causing damage to the dashboard.  Various other items had also been stolen from the vehicle.  The victim states the vehicle was probably parked unlocked.

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – 6-28-12 @ 1028 HRS.

 

A patron of Lakeside Mall reported that he found two 8-inch key marks/scratches on the hood of his vehicle and the rear passenger door had been dented.

 

THEFT OF VEHICLE – 6-27-12 1530 HRS. – 6-28-12 0945 HRS.

A resident in the 43000 block of Fountain Drive, located in the 19 Mile and Hayes area, reported that someone stole her vehicle from her assigned parking space.  The victim is in possession of both sets of keys and gave no-one permission to use her vehicle. 

 

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY – 6-28-12 BET. 0300 & 0830 HRS.

 

A resident in the 1900 block of Forest Mead Drive, located in the 19 Mile and Dequindre area, reported that someone ‘keyed’ his vehicle.  There were scratches deep into the metal around the entire perimeter of the vehicle and on the hood.  The windshield was smashed in, and both driver’s side doors as well as both rear quarter panels had been dented.
