On Friday, April 5,members of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Neighborhood Recovery Unit conducted a search warrant at 119 S. Hamilton St., Apartment 1. This search warrant was the result of a two month investigation into “crack” cocaine and heroin sales at the location. The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Emergency Services Unit assisted in this search warrant.
As a result of the investigation, NRU members recovered fifty (50) bags of heroin, a small quantity of “crack” cocaine and twenty (20) rounds of 9 mm ammunition.
Lamar Johnson, 25, a resident of this location and target of this investigation was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony. Lamar Johnson is being held in the City of Poughkeepsie lockup pending his arraignment.
