Several City Streets Closed on Monday
City of Poughkeepsie residents will have to remove their cars from several streets on Monday, Sept. 30, due to construction projects on city roads, city officials said.
The city’s street department will be milling the following roads: Ferris Lane, between Beechwood Avenue and Wilmot Terrace; Thornwood Drive, between Ferris Lane and Wilmot Terrace; South Avenue, between Phoenix Street and Route 9 South; and Marshall Street, between Washington Street and Garden Street.
Work zones will be in place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., officials said. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated, they added.
