Two Men Killed in Stabbing Incident
On April 19, 2014 at 9:58 a.m., officers from the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department responded to 133 North Clinton Street 2nd floor right apartment for a report of an intruder in the apartment. Responding Officers found two males and one female stabbed inside of the apartment. One of the males, 35-year-old LAMAR L. JOHNSON of Beacon, NY was pronounced dead at the scene. The other male, 33-year-old LANDOCALRISSAN E. BUTLER of 133 North Clinton Street 2nd floor right apartment, was transported to Saint Francis Hospital where he later died. The female was transported to an area hospital where she was treated for a stab wound to the arm and released.
Autopsies on both males were conducted today; BUTLER was found to have died from a stab wound to the heart inflicted by JOHNSON. The female’s stab wound was also inflicted by JOHNSON. Although stabbed, the cause of death for JOHNSON is pending. All the participants in this incident have been accounted for; there are no other suspects at large. The incident is still under investigation.
