City K-9 Missing in Town of Lloyd

On Monday, June 16, 2014 at about 8:30 p.m., the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department's newest Police K-9 went missing. The dog was about to be fed when he was apparently distracted by a deer and gave chase. The dog was last seen in the area of Upper North Road in Highland (Town of Lloyd).
Multiple agencies and citizens alike have searched the area since the dog disappeared. The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department urges anyone with information on the whereabouts of the dog to please phone the Town of Lloyd Police Department as soon as possible at (845) 691-6102.
The dog answers to “Falcone,” named for fallen officer Detective John Falcone. The dog is a 17-month-old German shepherd and should be wearing a brown collar.
