MISSION PARTY CALLS FOR 1/30/09 - 2/08/09

   Officers from Area B-2 responded to the following addresses for loud party calls:

        -  1/30/09 -  45 Cherokee St

                             96 Calumet St

                             65 Hillside St

                             34 Cherokee St

                             812 Parker St

    -  2/1/09      -   775 Parker St

                             14 Iroquois St

                              1520 Tremont St

    -  2/6/09    -      Calumet/Hillside

    -  2/7/09    -       170 Hillside St

                               168 Hillside St

                                65 Sachem

    -  2/8/09              777 Parker St

                                 34 Cherokee St

                                 154 Calumet St

                                  176 Calumet St

     As a result of these calls there were a total of 4 arrests, 1 person summonsed to court, 14 civil citations (ranging from keeping a disorderly house, procuring alcohol for a minor, minors in possession of alcohol, disturbing the peace and public drinking). The Boston Police Department receives numerous complaints from residents of Mission Hill regarding students’ activity as it relates to loud parties. Not only does this disrupt what has traditionally been a family neighborhood by keeping working people awake until early morning hours, but many times deteriorates into criminal behavior such as vandalizing private property, lewd behavior and assaults. Finally, the effect on a student’s future can be devastating after a simple arrest, possibly jeopardizing his or her status in school or having a court record that may follow him or her into their adult life.
