COMCAST SURVEYS

The Regional Sales and Marketing Supervisor for Comcast has notified District E-5 of an extensive door-to-door campaign that will be taking place in West Roxbury. This campaign is intended for sales representatives to meet with residents to discuss new options and special promotions that are now available to both existing and non-existing Comcast customers. The representatives will move through West Roxbury street by street and the campaign is estimated to be completed by June 2009.

The Community Service Office is informing residents of this campaign because we recognize these visits may generate phone calls from concerned citizens. We would like to advise all residents to always be cautious when opening the door for door-to-door services. Comcast has assured District 5 that all Comcast field representatives will be wearing “Comcast Contractor” shirts and jackets and a photo ID badge that clearly identifies them as a Comcast representative. If anyone comes to your door and is not in this uniform we recommend that you do not answer. If these individuals do not exit your property after you do not answer and/or you express disinterest please call 9-1-1 for assistance. Also, remember that this campaign is designed to “meet” with residents. Comcast will not be soliciting residents for money. If you are approached by individuals seeking money beware that this person may not be a Comcast representative and as always call 9-1-1 for assistance.
