CRIME PREVENTION TIP: PREVENTING VEHICLE BREAKING AND ENTERING

RBPD CRIME PREVENTION TIP

Help prevent crime! Please protect your property from thieves by securing your vehicle and removing valuables from the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Items such as I-pods, cell phones, laptop computers, designer sunglasses, and GPS navigation systems are prime targets of thieves.

Secure all valuables in the trunk of the vehicle if possible. Never leave valuables in plain view in the passenger compartment. By simply removing these items from view you will reduce the chances that your vehicle will be targeted. The majority of vehicle break-ins involve the theft of items that were visible in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
