ELDERLY SCAM

In the past couple of weeks the Youngstown Police Detective Divison has receiced several phone calls from victim regarding a telephone scam. The scam artis has called the victim, and identified himself as Jason (unknown last name) from the Toronto Police department stating that his grand son Matt was in jail and that the victim would have to send $2700.00 or he would have to spend a month in jail.

Assistance Identifing Jane Doe

On 8/21/08 at approximately 6:59 am. the body of a black female was found in a trash can at 836 Michigan ave along side the appartment building. The victim had no Identification on her, therefore Detective are asking for help from the public to identify her. The victim is a black female 5’04" 90 pounds, and is approximately 30-40 yeas of age, and has a scar on her abdomen or a Caesarian Section. It run from the middle of her chest to the naval, she also has a gap between her two upper front teeth. This victim may have frequented the Downtown area or the The North Side of Youngstown.
