Homicide Unit Investigation  

On May 26, 2015 at approximately 1817 hours the Cincinnati Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call to 1202 Spring Street #2 reference a child unconscious and not breathing.  The Cincinnati Fire Department transported the child to Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center where she later died.  The child has been identified as Deslinn Nelson, 6 years of age.

 On May 27th, the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office ruled the death of Deslinn Nelson a homicide.  On June 4th, a Grand Jury indicted Dominic Beal and Markeeta Beal in the death of Deslinn Nelson.  Mr. Beal was indicted for Involuntary Manslaughter and Child Endangering.  He is currently in custody at the Hamilton County Justice Center.  Mrs. Beal was indicted for Murder and Child Endangering for the death of Deslinn Nelson.  She is currently not in custody and is wanted on the open Murder warrant.

*UPDATE ARREST OF HOMICIDE SUSPECT*

On June 5, 2015, Homicide Detectives located and arrested Markeeta Beal for the Murder and Child Endangering indictments.
